Entertainment Soldier Exam

Gong YOO, No Yu Min, Kim Jae Deok passed the first stage of Entertainment Soldier Exam.
Gong YOO and No Yu Min, Kim Jae Deok were included in the list published by the national defence division on 19th this month, announcing the candidates who have passed the exam.
Gong YOO and some other candidates are under the actor division.

Can Gong YOO and the rest of the candidates passed the final exam of the National Defence systems?
Gong YOO (Real Name: Gong Ji Cheol) and some celebrity soldiers have passed the national defence ambassador exam and this has drawn many people’s attention.
On the 19th, the defence division published on their website, the name list of 20 people who passed the exam.
Acting, singing, comedy, magic and animation are the five areas that the candidates will be tested in.
The final test will be held on 29th to determine who suit the role most.
A person who requested to be anonymous mentioned this through a phone interview: “Not everyone who passed this exam will automatically take up the role. If there isn’t any suitable candidate, I will not be in a hurry to make decision.”
This person also mentioned: “The way they conduct the interview will be different, depending on the judges. Hence, the number of candidates will also be reduced.” Many have expressed their concerns whether Gong YOO and the other entertainment soldiers will pass the final test.

GY’s 30th Birthday in the Camp
Gong Yoo spent his 30th Birthday in the camp and his fellow comrades ate their fill of food supplied by fans.
For two years,Gong Yoo couldn’t bear to eat his birthday cake!
Gong Yoo who is currently serving his military service, celebrated his 30th birthday in the camp on 10 July. The happiest thing for him on the day of his birthday was, many of his fans sent lots of delicious food to the camp, he and his comrades were very full eating them, cake was the only item that was left behind. Like last year, he still couldn’t bear to eat the cake.
To express his appreciation to the fans, he specially sent a handwritten message to thank his fans through the official website and said that they ate very happily.
In the handwritten letter, he also mentioned that although the weather is extremely hot, there are times he feels tired but the support from the fans strengthen him and he promised to go through his army life seriously. He did not forget to cheer for everyone at the end of his message and shouted “Pil-Seung! I love you all”, and added one more sentence “Wa! I am already 30 years old!”, seems that he can feel the years passing.

GONGYOO The First DVD – All About Gong Yoo
[July 4 Update -> You can actually buy this online @ Amazon Japan. I'm still contemplating, the shipping cost is quite high (1,700 JPY - like 20% of the dvd price!!)... hmmm..]

Wish I could grab a copy of this.. It’s already out in Japan and Korea. I found a handful of sites posting some photos and videos but a YOOgal will certainly love to get hold of the original copy.. yesasia.com don’t have it (yet?)
It is a 3-disc DVD that contains photos and videos, some BTS, self-camera, and a lot more…
